ABUJA — Nigeria
The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Door-to-Door Movement, founded and sponsored by High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Dr Tompolo, is set to organise a high-profile book presentation and launch in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, with the event scheduled for November 5, 2026, at the Bola Ahmed International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The event, organised under the auspices of the movement, will feature the presentation of a book titled The Courage to Reform: Architecture of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Beyond 2027, Statecraft, Vision for National Renewal. The publication is expected to examine Tinubu’s leadership philosophy, policy reforms and vision for Nigeria’s political and economic future.
The launch is expected to attract prominent political leaders, captains of industry, members of the National Assembly, serving and former public officials, state governors, traditional rulers, members of the diplomatic community, religious leaders and youth organisations.
President Tinubu is expected to attend as the Special Guest of Honour, while industrialist and President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has been named Chief Launcher. Abdul Samad Rabiu Chairman of BUA Cement Plc, will serve as Co-Chief Launcher.
The event will be chaired by Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while Dr Tompolo, founder, sponsor and Grand Patron of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Door-to-Door Movement, will serve as Chief Host.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is listed as the host of the occasion.
The choice of prominent business leaders as launchers underscores the organisers’ intention to bring political leadership and private-sector influence together around discussions on governance, economic reforms and national development.
Other distinguished guests expected at the event include Senate President Godswill Akpabio; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; and members of the APC National Working Committee.
Also listed among the expected participants are Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, identified in the event programme as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, and Ibrahim Kabiru Masari, Special Adviser to the President on Political and Other Matters.
Members of the Federal Executive Council, state governors and other members of the National Assembly are also expected to attend.
The governors’ delegation is expected to include AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, and Hope Uzodimma, Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, alongside other state chief executives.
Traditional institutions will also feature prominently, with the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Muhammadu Sa’adu Abubakar III, and the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, named among the royal fathers expected at the gathering.
Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, founder of the Tinubu Support Group, is also listed among the distinguished participants.
Representatives of the diplomatic community, business leaders, religious organisations and youth groups are equally expected, reflecting the organisers’ ambition to attract participants from different sectors of Nigerian public life.
Beyond the ceremonial presentation, the book launch is expected to provide a platform for supporters of the President to articulate their interpretation of his reform agenda, assess its implications for national development and advance arguments for policy continuity beyond 2027.
The title, The Courage to Reform, places emphasis on the political will required to introduce far-reaching policy changes, while the subtitle, Architecture of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Beyond 2027, signals the publication’s focus on leadership, statecraft and the country’s future direction.
The event also comes as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections. Its stated support for Tinubu’s re-election bid gives the gathering a clear political dimension, positioning the book presentation as part of a broader effort by the President’s supporters to promote his administration’s record and build support for continuity.
However, the broader national debate over the administration’s reform programme extends beyond political advocacy. Its long-term significance will ultimately be assessed against its effects on Nigerians, including economic opportunities, purchasing power, employment, access to public services and overall living standards.
Against this backdrop, the launch is expected to contribute to ongoing discussions about the Tinubu administration’s policy choices, their economic and social implications, and the direction of Nigeria’s development as the country approaches another electoral cycle.
According to the event organisers, attendance will be strictly by invitation.
